Corporations literally trained generations of people to buy way more stuff than they needed, to throw stuff away instead of reusing it, and to be as wasteful as possible in the name of profits. Now they’re saying we need to change our behavior again. Corpos call it “creative obsolescence” or “psychological obsolescence” or “obsolescence of the mind” but one thing is certain… it’s put there.
