What triggered a whole market based around ‘gluten-free’?

As I’ve reported before, it’s not just some new food fad; gluten is actually making people all kinds of sick and slowly killing others.

Wheat, a major source of gluten, also happens to be the the number two food subsidized by our government; it’s grown all over the place and put into a large majority of our foods. Studies have shown that back in the 1950s, one in around 5,000 people might have a severe and potentially deadly allergy to gluten known as Celiac’s Disease; now it’s more like a staggering one in 133.

In short, in 60 years, here’s what Celiac Disease figures look like by the decade in America:

1950s: 1 in 5,000
2010s: 1 in 133

Population increase alone cannot come close to accounting for such a vast difference.

Many more people who do not have full-blown Celiac’s may suffer from harmful gluten intolerance issues as well; estimates show as many as 18 million Americans suffer from gluten-derived health issues.

People who get sick eating gluten do so because the protein triggers an auto-immune response that causes the body to attack it’s own intestinal lining. When that happens, any one or more of 200-300 different symptoms can occur, as the body stops being able to absorb its nutrients properly. This can end in so many diseases…and, ultimately, death.

What has happened to our food that so many people who eat it are getting sick enough that large numbers of us require whole entire stores dedicated entirely to removing an ingredient that just so happens to be found in the majority of foods in our country…?

The clip below includes an excerpt from a 1960 U.S. Department of Agriculture short film “Miracles from Agriculture” which might shed a clue on how gluten first started to become such a huge health problem for so many people.

    I’m not sure if you noticed or not, but in the YouTube video you linked, there is some EXTREMELY powerful symbolism. The very first scene in the 1960s Government video (3min in) shows a man cutting a piece of fruit in half. This is very strange, seeing as how it’s a video about how wheat has been modified for the population’s “benefit”. So, what’s the deal with starting the video showing a man cutting a piece of fruit in half? Well, this is were it gets interesting. The fruit shown is a Quince (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quince). According to the work of David Flynn (http://www.mt.net/~watcher) in his book “Cydonia: The Secret Chronicles of Mars”, the quince fruit was the actual fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in The Garden of Eden – the very fruit that Eve ate, and then gave Adam, which he also ate, introducing sin into the world. The Quince fruit is a symbol – it’s basically the most powerful symbol of the influence of Satan’s evil upon this world. And it just so happens that our Government chose to insert this symbol at the beginning of their video that they produced in order to inform the world that they have modified wheat, for our “benefit”. Well, as the author of this article points out, we’re not benefiting at all – it’s literally killing us. I felt it important to point out this symbolism, as once you understand it, you begin to see what I see – that this 1960s video you’ve found is actually incredibly powerful, as anyone who knows about Luciferian or “Illuminated” societies understands, evil must always tell the world what they are doing, but in order to keep it as quiet as possible, they hide behind symbolism.

    I was talking to a cosmetic surgeon recently, (not as a patient, just general chit-chat) and he got very animated and engaged as he started going on about how bad eating wheat was and how our bodies reject it and that today’s wheat is not the same as 100 years ago… We were talking about the rise in obesity and increasing number of fat-bodies. I’ve never thought of myself as having any food alllergies, but despite being young and fit and taking care of myself well, sometimes I encounter a lot of the symptoms of celiac sensitivity: abdominal cramping, reflux, diarrea, fatigue, joint pain and inflammation, depression/irritability/moodiness, concentration problems, mild adult acne, occasional patches of eczema, bruising from things that don’t even cause pain, etc. My wife also has many of these problems as well as irregular menstrual cycles, frequent headaches, and night blindness. My mother has developed lactose intolerance although she had no problems for most her life…

    CLEARLY, there is something VERY WRONG with our food, and not just fast food. Almost all the foods in the store have been adulterated in some way, or filled with harmful additives. There is a reason why Americans have SO MANY HEALTH PROBLEMS. We are supposedly “better off” than most of the world, but clearly we are SICKER. And the Healthcare industry is a MISNOMER. It should be called the SICK-CARE SYSTEM because they are in cahoots. Big Pharma and Big Food are working together behind the curtain and have been for decades. I am convinced. Most doctors are probably unaware of the inner workings of the elites and their plans. Too busy working and living. They’ve been filled with dogma and propaganda, and it’s also painful to contemplate the highest levels of hierarchy in their industry are working against people’s health.

    What has it come to when even things we considered innocuous or healthful are really tainted poison? Perhaps it’s time to try to overhaul our diets and see if we don’t start to feel and look better. This means not going to the “regular” grocery store, and many may not have the dedication to do so. Or the funds. Organic hemp seed would be a great food source, it has all the amino acids present, and it is 33% protein by weight!!! And it has healthful essential fatty acids. I looked online an it costs about $15/lb!!!! I’m quite sure it could be produced very cheaply, easily, and abundantly though LOL.

    Thanks for the info, Mellissa, but the question is: what’s a person to do, stop eating wheat products? Thankfully, I don’t have any big issues from eating wheat but I know people who do. We eat organic as much as possible but we aren’t wealthy. Can we counteract the effects of these “bad” foods?
    While you are on your quest you might want to spend time on the move to eliminate our right to herbal supplements, that is if you haven’t already.
    We are being bombarded daily and we busy Americans often don’t even see the sky that is right above us.
    Thanks again; I will keep your site on my favorites.

      “What’s a person to do?” – In the video especially it seems it is pointing out merely that gluten intolerance has become an epidemic, yet no one is asking why or taking notice. It’s no different than the extreme rise in Autism, Asthma, Crones Disease, and Diabetes. Remember all the cancer cure hopes we got spoon fed growing up? Cancer is out of control as well. Our health is literally under attack and has been for years. This is the reality. Star Trek utopias were never in the works. People in general are viewed as a virus that needs to be exterminated by those who reall pull the strings.

        I also wanted to add that supplementing testosterone is becoming very popular because our ability to breed is and has also been under attack. More and more men even in their twenties are reporting low testosterone levels. They didn’t start lining food cans with an estrogen drug for nothing. The elite and the pharmaceutical companies win. We don’t. I know who wins in the end though. Those who have a love for truth/good do.

      @Bob~What’s a person to do??? Yes, that’s what is being said here. STOP eating wheat/gluten products. Whether someone has any reactions or not, damage is still being done to the human body from ALL gluten filled products. That’s what this entire story is about…And yes you’re correct, most people don’t see the sky because they’re so busy…That’s part of the plan. A wise man once said “those who are too busy to see then sky can’t possibly have the time to notice the Chemtrails”…

      According to The Wheat Belly Blog (http://www.wheatbellyblog.com/2012/03/the-wheat-lobby-smokescreen/), wheat has been substantially changed since the 1950s:

      “Whole grains of 2012 are also not the whole grains of 1950, the 19th century, the Bible, or pre-biblical times. Modern wheat, in particular, is genetically distant from its predecessors, thanks to the extreme genetic changes (not genetic modification!) inflicted on wheat in the 1960s and 1970s in the name of increased yield-per-acre.

      Wheat is not genetically-modified. In the language of geneticists, “genetic modification” or genetic engineering refers to the use of gene-splicing technology to insert or remove a gene. While wheat has indeed been extensively genetically-modified in laboratory settings, no genetically-modified strain of wheat is on the open market. And I never said it was.

      But that does not mean that the genetics of wheat have not been changed. Its genetics, in fact, have been extensively changed using techniques that include hybridization, repeating backcrossing (to winnow out specific characteristics like short height or seed head size), embryo rescue (to rescue otherwise fatal mutations), and chemical, gamma ray, and x-ray mutagenesis (induction of mutations, used for instance to create the popular Clearfield strain of wheat that is herbicide-resistant). These techniques, as any geneticist will tell you, are far less predictable, less controllable . . . far worse than the act of inserting or removing just one gene. But that is conveniently left out of the sound bites that come from the Wheat Lobby.”
